Former Airbus subsidiary fined $42 million for corruption

London’s Southwark Crown Court has ordered GPT Special Project Management Ltd., a former subsidiary of Airbus SE, to pay more than £30 million ($42 million) after pleading guilty in a corruption case, Reuters reported. GPT has agreed to one count of corruption between December 2008 and July 2010 related to military communications services contracts for the Saudi Arabian National Guard.
