Ransomware attacks on firms, government agencies surges

A report by Russian cyber security firm AO Kaspersky Lab said that there was a 767% year-on-year rise in the ransomware attacks on high-profile targets such as corporations, municipal organizations and government agencies worldwide in 2020, The Weekend Leader reported. Australia and India recorded the highest number of attacks across the Asia Pacific region.
