BroadStreet Partners names Kirk CEO

Acquisitive brokerage BroadStreet Partners Inc. named Ken Kirk CEO on Thursday, succeeding founder Rick Miley, who was named executive chairman.
Mr. Kirk joined the Columbus, Ohio-based brokerage in 2013 and was named president in 2017. Prior to joining BroadStreet he ran his own agency, and before that he was a regional president at Brown & Brown Inc.
“Ken’s appointment to CEO is the implementation of a long‐term succession plan,” a BroadStreet statement said.
BroadStreet is the 14th largest brokerage of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking. Mr. Miley founded the company in 2001.
