Derek Chauvin eligible for pension despite guilty verdict

Derek Chauvin will be eligible to keep his police pension despite being found guilty on Tuesday of second- and third-degree murder in the death of George Floyd, Newsweek reported. Minnesota does not require convicted felons to forfeit pensions so the former Minneapolis police officer could receive more than $1 million in pension benefits.
