Acrisure hires former McGriff exec to lead new division

Acrisure LLC said Wednesday it has hired former McGriff Insurance Services Inc. executive Doug Hodo to head up a new division providing various coverages to large businesses.
Mr. Hodo will be based in San Antonio and lead a sales push to provide property/casualty, group benefits, surety and executive liability coverages to large companies, Acrisure said in a statement.
A 30-year industry veteran, Mr. Hodo most recently served as west regional president for McGriff.
Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Acrisure, which last month raised $3.4 billion from investors, is the world’s 10th largest brokerage, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking.
