Small businesses urged to submit COVID-19 BI claims

The Australian Securities and Investment Commission and the Australian Financial Complaints Authority are urging small businesses to lodge business interruption insurance claims to recoup losses resulting from the COVID-19-related shutdowns, Smart Company reported. Only 3,000 businesses have lodged BI claims since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. Currently, the Australian courts are hearing two BI test cases.
