Competition concerns outside Europe hinder Aon-Willis merger

Aon PLC’s divestment proposals submitted to the European Commission to win antitrust approval for its proposed merger with Willis Towers Watson PLC reportedly fail to address competition concerns outside Europe, Reinsurance News reported citing Reuters. Those concerns have been raised in non-European nations such as Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, and Aon could be forced to devise new divestment plans to allay the competition concerns.
