SriLankan Airlines pursues $1 billion lawsuit against Airbus

SriLankan Airlines Ltd. is pursuing its lawsuit against aircraft manufacturer Airbus SAS, seeking $1 billion in compensation relating to bribery allegations and the resulting reputational damage and lost income, Simple Flying reported. The legal dispute is based on the U.K. Crown Court’s ruling in 2020 that found Airbus guilty of bribery in relation to aircraft deals.
