University hospital seeks bailout to cover benefits

UConn Health, a branch of the University of Connecticut, is seeking $174 million from the state legislature to cover benefits costs, the Hartford Courant reported. The money would be used to cover increased health care and pension expenses, which are much higher than in many other hospitals, officials say.
