London-based claims and insurance management company Charles Taylor Ltd. said Tuesday that it has acquired U.S. adjuster Syndicate Claim Services Inc.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Indianapolis-based Syndicate Claim Services offers claims services and appraisals, umpire, dispute resolution and litigation support services to insurers, third-party administrators and self-insured entities, a Charles Taylor statement said.

Syndicate Claim Services’ more than 370 staff will join Charles Taylor and its contractors will become affiliated with the company.

The company’s name will change to Syndicate Claim Services, a Charles Taylor company, a Charles Taylor spokesman said in an email.

The acquisition “significantly expands our footprint” in the United States said Vince Cole, CEO of Charles Taylor Adjusting and Technical Services, US.

Earlier this year, Charles Taylor bought Aegis Corp., a Brookfield, Wisconsin-based mutual management and third-party claims administrator.
