ACA slowed increases in out-of-pocket healthcare costs: Study

A study has found that the Affordable Care Act has slowed increases in out-of-pocket costs for those with health insurance coverage by about 80%, UPI reports. According to the analysis published by JAMA Network Open, the average out-of-pocket expenses for doctor visits, prescription medicines, and other services have increased by an average of 0.2% every year since the Affordable Care Act began in 2010.
