Fire destroys 90% of Valentino’s Italian shoe factory

A major fire destroyed 90% of luxury fashion house Valentino SpA’s shoe manufacturing plant in the Italian commune of Bucine in Tuscany on the intervening night of April 1 and 2, causing multi-million euro loss, Footwear News reported. The fire destroyed properties, machines, installations and 38,000 pairs of semi-finished and finished shoes at the Valentino Shoes Lab.
