BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Mike Sapnar

New York Digital Investment Group LLC, a provider of technology for Bitcoin investing, said Thursday that Mike Sapnar, former CEO of reinsurer TransRe, is joining NYDIG as global head of insurance solutions.

Mr. Sapnar, who left TransRe in March, will focus on accelerating bitcoin-driven innovation in the property/casualty industry. He will work with Matt Carey, U.S. head of insurance solutions, who was most recently CEO of Blueprint Income, an online annuity marketplace.

NYDIG also said Thursday that it had raised $100 million from strategic partners including Starr Insurance Cos. and Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. New York Life is an existing investor.
