Volcano-tectonic earthquakes hit Saint Vincent

The National Emergency Management Organization in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines said a new swarm of volcano-tectonic earthquakes began on April 5 at a depth around 3.7 miles below the summit of the La Soufriere active volcano, NationNews citing Searchlight Newspaper. Although the alert level remains at orange, the organization is encouraging residents to be prepared in the event that it becomes necessary to evacuate on short notice.
