Former Marsh D&O exec joins Lockton

Sarah Downey, a former directors and officers liability and digital asset leader at Marsh LLC, has joined rival brokerage Lockton Cos. LLC.
New York-based Ms. Downey will lead Lockton’s executive risk claims unit and be the brokerage’s blockchain risk advisory leader.
Last week, Marsh revamped the leadership of its financial institutions and D&O business following the departure of Ms. Downey.
Prior to joining Marsh in 2014, Ms. Downey was an attorney at White & Williams LLP.
“For the past seven years, Sarah has gained enormous credibility and the unequivocal trust of her clients and insurers in resolving some of the most complex D&O and executive risk claims,” Devin Beresheim, specialties leader at Lockton, said in a statement.
In addition, she has helped develop the blockchain and digital asset insurance market, he said.
