Almost 90% vessels stuck in Suez Canal lack delay cover

The marine insurance industry experts believe that 90% of the vessels stuck in the Suez Canal due to the blockage caused by the Ever Given containership lack proper insurance coverage for delays, Lloyd’s List reported. It could take weeks to dislodge the Ever Given containership. Insurers have warned more than 230 vessels of not expecting recovery of any sizeable out-of-pocket expenses in claims.
