Generali mulls buying Russian insurer for over $2 billion

Italian insurer Assicurazioni Generali SpA is considering buying a nonlife insurer in Russia for €2 billion ($2.4 billion), Reuters reported citing the Il Sole 24 Ore newspaper. Insurers RESO-Garantia Insurance PJSC, PJSC IC Rosgosstrakh and VTB Insurance Ltd. are among the potential targets.
