Former Everest Re COO joins Buckle

James Camerino, former chief operating officer of Everest Re Group Ltd., has joined Jersey City, New Jersey-based insurtech firm Buckle Agency LLC as head of strategic partnerships.

In the new role, Mr. Camerino will support Buckle’s strategic plan, which includes managing general agents, reinsurance and mergers and acquisitions, Buckle said in a statement Thursday.

He will be based in Jersey City and report to Sharon Fernandez, head of Buckle’s insurance division.

Prior to Everest Re, where he worked for more than a decade, Mr. Camerino was senior vice president at Munich Reinsurance America Inc., where he held senior claim, legal and underwriting roles.
