Alabama essential workers lack basic health care: Report

An Alabama Arise report states that essential workers lack the basic protections of a living wage, health insurance, paid sick leave and family medical leave, Youth Today reports. The report, created by a team of nonpartisan public policy experts, recommends lawmakers immediately expand Medicaid programs that would cover more than half of those currently uninsured.
