Ohio sues Centene over its PBM services

Ohio has sued Centene Corp. for allegedly breaching its Medicaid contracts and using pharmacy benefit managers to boost care costs that resulted in overpayments in millions, Healthcare Dive reports. State Attorney General Dave Yost filed a lawsuit, alleging that the insurer’s subsidiary Buckeye Health Plan leveraged an extensive network of subcontractors to provide pharmacy benefits to be able to misrepresent pharmacy costs and artificially inflating dispensing fees.
