South Dakota governor signs telehealth bill into law

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem has signed a bill into law that enables healthcare providers to provide telehealth treatment without requiring an in-person examination, mHealthIntelligence reports. In addition to removing the in-person requirement, Ms. Kristi also wants to allow providers to prescribe medications through telehealth and permit the use of audio-only telehealth platforms.
