Cloud center fire knocks out 3.6 million websites

Around 3.6 million websites went offline after a huge fire broke out at French cloud computing firm OVH Groupe SAS’ cloud facility in Strasbourg, France, on March 10, Datacenter Knowledge reported. The fire knocked out sites of online retailers, banks and several nations’ government websites. OVH does not expect to restart operations at the site until March 15. Cause of the fire is being probed.
