BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

London-based Davies Group Ltd. said Tuesday it has acquired third-party administrator The Littleton Group of Austin, Texas.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Littleton provides claims adjusting and third-party administration for insurers, managing general agents, off-shore and stateside captives, municipalities, private entities and self-insured businesses, the statement said.

Littleton will become part of Davies’ claims solutions arm and Littleton CEO Steve Streetman will join Davies in an advisory and consulting role “to support integration and growth initiatives.”

Jeff Bode, Littleton chief operating officer, will continue to lead day-to-day operations and report to Peter Wilson, who heads Davies’ U.S. property/casualty claims operations. All 165 Littleton employees will continue in their roles with Davies.

Dan Saulter, group CEO, called building property/casualty claims capability in the U.S. “a strategic focus.”

Davies offers TPA and loss adjusting services, along with captive management, auditing and actuarial services.
