Bill would allow FMLA leave for part-time education workers

A bill that would grant part-time education employees in Illinois to be eligible for leave under the state’s Family and Medical Leave Act is headed for the House floor, The Center Square reports. The bill, which is sponsored by Rep. Terra Costa Howard, would amend the FMLA law to cover employees who have worked at least 12 months and at least 1,000 hours annually.
