Former Aon exec to lead Marsh's national public entity practice

Marsh LLC has hired former Aon PLC executive Kevin Bryant as leader of its national public entity industry practice.

Mr. Bryant replaces Jean Demchak, who remains global education industry practice leader at Marsh. Ms. Demchak previously managed both practices.

Mr. Bryant was previously executive vice president and resident managing director of Aon’s Greenville, South Carolina, office, Marsh said in a statement Monday.

He brings more than 30 years of broking experience and expertise in assisting nonprofits and public entities with property, casualty and employee benefit strategies, with a focus on cost containment.

“Public sector entities often must balance pursuing opportunities with addressing needs, such as aging infrastructure, disaster preparedness, law enforcement liability, cyber risk preparedness, and more recently pandemic resiliency,” Mr. Bryant said in the statement.

Mr. Bryant will continue to be based in Greenville and report to Jeffrey Alpaugh, U.S. and Canada growth and industry leader at Marsh.
