Proposed bill would make telehealth access permanent

Illinois representative Deb Conroy introduced House Bill 3498 that would ensure people in the state have access to telehealth services after the COVID-19 pandemic, KHQA reports. Bill supporter Coalition to Protect Telehealth said that the bill aligns telehealth coverage and payment with in-person care, and patients cannot be required to use telehealth services in order to protect patient preference.
