Brazilian state declares emergency after flooding of rivers

The Brazilian state of Acre declared an emergency after several rivers in the state breached flood stage levels on Feb. 19 and 20, Floodlist reported. Rivers Juruá, Iaco, Tarauacá, Envira, Purus and Acre overflowed and broke their banks, affecting more than 100,000 people in the nearby areas.
