Maersk ship loses 260 containers due to engine stoppage

Danish shipper Maersk Line A/S’ Eindhoven containership lost 260 containers overboard on Feb. 17 as the vessel rolled due to stoppage of engine in the rough seas near Japan, The Maritime Executive reported. The ship was en route to Los Angeles from China. This marks the second such incident for Maersk in 2021, after its containership, Essen lost 750 containers in late January.
