MS Amlin’s net loss nears $290 million due to pandemic

U.K.-based insurer MS Amlin Ltd.’s net loss reached £209 million ($289.5 million) in the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2020, driven by the COVID-19 pandemic, Reinsurance News reported. The pandemic drove MS Amlin’s underwriting loss to £235 million, compared to a loss of £47 million in the year-ago comparable period.
