Cyber program manager adds underwriters from Beazley, Axa XL

Program manager Resilience Cyber Insurance Solutions said Wednesday said it has added two cyber underwriters from Beazley PLC and Axa XL, a division of Axa SA.

San Francisco-based Resilience said Kevin McGowan, formerly co-chair of Beazley’s global cyber and tech large risk group in Chicago, is joining it as vice president.

At Beazley, Mr. McGowan set the insurer’s underwriting strategy for its cyber and errors and omissions business, and was responsible for underwriting and managing the company’s most complex cyber risk placements in the U.S., Resilience said in its statement.

Mr. McGowan will be based in Chicago.

Mike Shannon joins Resilience as assistant vice president from Axa XL in Atlanta, where he was a senior underwriter in its cyber and technology E&O practice.

At Axa XL, Mr. Shannon oversaw the insurer’s cyber middle-market business across the United States’ Southeast region. He was previously a cyber and professional liability underwriter with American International Group Inc.

Mr. Shannon will continue to be based in Atlanta.

Arceo.ai relaunched as Resilience Cyber Insurance Solutions in November, stating it would offer insurance coverage as a program manager supported by Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions.
