Aon, Willis merger on track to close in first half

Christa Davies, chief financial officer at Aon PLC, is confident that the merger with Willis Towers Watson PLC will close in the first half of this year despite an investigation by European Union regulators, Reinsurance News reported. There are concerns that the investigation could delay its completion, or require divestitures including a sale of the Willis Re reinsurance unit on anti-competition grounds.
