Beazley posts $50.4 million loss due to pandemic

U.K.-based insurer Beazley PLC’s pretax losses were $50.4 million in 2020 mainly due to COVID-19 related claims, ShareCast reported. The company logged $340 million in losses from the Covid-19 crisis with the majority of claims for event cancellation. In 2019 the company posted a $267.7 million profit.
