Cal/OSHA cites multiple employers for COVID-19 violations
Posted On: Feb. 5, 2021 10:50 AM CSTA fitness center, a children’s clothing store, two large prisons and several medical facilities are among those that have received COVID-19-related workplace safety citations from the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
Cal/OSHA on Thursday released details of the citations, with fines ranging from $15,125 to $421,880. The agency said it opened the inspections after learning of COVID-19 illnesses and fatalities, receiving complaints, and during targeted inspections.
The violations include failing to notify Cal/OSHA of COVID-19 fatalities and failing to create a proper safety program, according to several of the citations.
