President Joe Biden, who in rapid succession fired first the National Labor Relations Board’s general counsel, then the acting general counsel, after they refused to resign last week, has named career employee Peter Sung Ohr as the agency’s acting general counsel, the agency said Monday.

Peter Robb, whose four-year term as NLRB general counsel was set to expire in November 2021, was fired by President Biden after he refused to resign. Deputy attorney general Alice B. Stock was named acting general counsel, but then she, too, was quickly fired after she refused to resign.

Mr. Ohr’s most recent NLRB position has been regional director its regional office, a position he has held since 2011.
