Swiss Re’s net loss to increase by 118%: Berenberg

German investment bank Joh. Berenberg, Gossler & Co. KG expects Swiss Re Co. Ltd.’s net loss to widen from the previously estimated $178 million to $389 million for 2020 due to COVID-19-related claims, Reinsurance News reported. Pandemic-related event cancellation and business interruption losses are expected to drive the claims in the fourth quarter of 2020.
