Premiums jump 14% in Egypt

Mohamed Omran, chairman of Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority, said that the total insurance premiums increased 14% year-on-year to 40.1 billion Egyptian pounds ($2.55 billion) in the fiscal year ended June 30, 2020, Middle East Insurance Review reported. Total investments of insurers in Egypt reached EGP107.8 billion, up 5.7% on a year-on-year basis.
