Nearly 500,000 truckers go on strike

Nearly 500,000 truckers went on an indefinite strike in the Indian state of Bihar on Jan. 15, which could affect the supply of essential commodities, New Indian Express reported. They are striking to protest against the ban imposed on the transportation of sand and stone chips by the trucks of 14 to 22 wheels.
