Pharma firms buy insurance for COVID-19 vaccine trials

Pharmaceutical companies have purchased insurance cover from domestic general insurers such as The New India Assurance Co. Ltd. for their COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials in India, The Indian Express reported. The policies indemnify the insured for legal costs, damages and compensation for injury or death caused to a research subject participating in a trial.
