Peter Enns to succeed retiring Chubb CFO Philip Bancroft

Chubb Ltd. said Friday that Philip Bancroft will retire as executive vice president and chief financial officer effective July 1 and be succeeded by Peter Enns, a former senior executive at HSBC Holdings PLC.

Mr. Enns, who most recently was global co-head of investment banking coverage in Hong Kong for HSBC, will join Chubb on or before April 1 as executive vice president, finance, Chubb said in a statement.

Mr. Enns, who spent over 20 years with Goldman Sachs in various senior roles and has more than 30 years of finance and investment banking experience, will report to Evan G. Greenberg, chairman and CEO, and join the company’s executive committee. He will be based in New York.

Mr. Bancroft, who was CFO of Ace Ltd. prior to Ace’s acquisition of Chubb in January 2016, is expected to remain with the company in an advisory capacity for the balance of the year and be available to support Mr. Enns, Chubb said.
