Honda’s plant to halt production amid supply chain issues

Japan-based Honda Motor Co. Ltd. will suspend production at its Swindon, England-based factory from Jan. 18 to Jan. 21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic-related supply issues, Autocar reports. This will be the plant’s third production stoppage since the beginning of December 2020 and is primarily related to the shortage of semiconductor chips, which has affected the production of major carmakers worldwide.
