British Airways faces potential $1.1 billion lawsuit over data breach

U.K.-based British Airways PLC could face a potential £800 million ($1.09 billion) class-action lawsuit over its 2018 data breach, as more than 16,000 people join to sue the airline, Evening Standard reports. British Airways revealed a system breach in September 2018 that compromised names, email addresses, debit and credit card numbers and addresses of 420,000 customers and staff.
