Run-off insurer buys Allianz-owned non-life insurer

Malta-based property and casualty legacy specialist Marco Capital Holdings Ltd. has acquired U.K.-based non-life insurer British Reserve Insurance Co. Ltd. from Allianz Insurance plc, Reinsurance News reported. The acquisition will enable Marco to offer reinsurance products, buy non-life insurance loss reserve portfolios, and support its regulated platform for future legacy transactions in the U.K. and London Market.
