Aviation reinsurance rates jump 250% at January renewals

A report by Willis Re indicates that aviation reinsurance rates increased by up to 250% at the Jan. 1 renewals as the Boeing 737 MAX crashes continue to impact the market even after two years, Reuters reported. Worldwide lockdowns and travel bans led to lower premiums for the aviation underwriters.
