Carmakers face production loss due to shipping chaos

Rajesh Menon, director general of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers, said that the Indian automobile industry may face production losses due to supply chain disruptions, TechnoCodex reported. The ongoing global shortage of containers and soaring shipping freight rates could lead to shortage of parts in the next four months, and subsequent loss of production.
