Drug maker suspends production after $28 million fire

Pharmaceutical company Sci Pharmtech Inc.’s factory in Taoyuan, Taiwan, caught fire on Dec. 20, causing 800 million Taiwanese ($28.4 million) worth of property damage and losses, Focus Taiwan reported citing CNA. The fire led to the suspension of production at the factory and is expected to cost the company TWD600 million in lost orders in the first quarter of 2021.
