Dueling sick leave laws in New York
Posted On: Dec. 15, 2020 9:51 AM CSTNew York State has enacted a statewide paid sick and safe leave law, allowing employees to use their paid leave as of Jan. 1, 2021, The National Law Review reports. Since 2014, the New York City has had its own paid sick and safe leave law, now employers in the city will have to comply with both laws.
