Cricket trust files $22 million claim for match cancellations

Australia-based Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust has filed an insurance claim of 29.5 million Australian ($22.5 million) to cover losses from cancelled sporting events during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sydney Morning Herald reported. The trust is seeking compensation from the New South Wales government for lost revenues from events, attendances, advertising, membership renewals, sponsorship and food and beverage sales.
