BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

IKEA

Homeowners in several countries can now insure their KIVIK couches and HEMNES dressers against fires and other mishaps with “HEMSÄKER,” Ikea’s new homeowners insurance product.

Already offered in Switzerland and Singapore, the Swedish furniture company Ikea has expanded its homeowners insurance offerings to Malaysia and will soon be in place in Germany, according to media reports that speculate the product could hit the U.S. market.

Ikea’s forthcoming expansions were announced by insurtech company iptiQ, a subsidiary of the Swiss Re Group. “We are very satisfied with the Ikea cooperation in both start-up markets,” Andreas Schertzinger, CEO, said at the SZ-Conference The Digital Insurance, as reported by World Today News.

On its website, Ikea is advertising this combined policy for household contents and private liability for $59 annually, covering renovations, home contents, burglary, accidents and more.
