Sedgwick buys Stericycle’s product recall solutions business

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc. said Wednesday that it has acquired the product recall, remediation and retention solutions business from Stericycle Inc.

Stericycle Inc.’s Expert Solutions service line helps companies respond to product safety and recall issues, according to the company’s website.

Sedgwick adds more than 300 employees with Stericycle’s Expert Solutions operations in the U.S., Canada and Europe.

Mike Arbour, CEO of Sedgwick, said in a statement that the deal would allow Sedgwick to provide recall, remediation and retention solutions on a global scale to clients in the automotive, food and beverage, medical devices, retail, pharmaceuticals consumer products and other industries

Sedgwick has more than 27,000 employees in 65 countries.
