COVID-19 lowers employer healthcare costs
Posted On: Dec. 2, 2020 9:54 AM CSTA survey of health insurance companies by Aon PLC shows that the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly lowered employers’ healthcare spending costs for the first time in decades, Plan Sponsor reported. According to Aon, medical claims for the year are projected to drop at a rate that is 5 percentage points lower than initially projected, with insurers expecting average downward cost impacts of 15% for dental benefits and 8% for vision benefits.
